Haven't been here in years, but it still upholds the same great quality of food and customer service. They're super busy but they make sure to acknowledge guests quickly and to serve food immediately (I did not see one hot plate under the heat lamp for more than 10 seconds!). The employees set the tone for the environment and I've left feeling satisfied. I had the All Veggie Omelette. I believe this is the best veggie omelette I've had from a restaurant. They also have salsa, and of course options of hot sauces, but I opted for the salsa. It had a kick to it, but not overbearing, so it was perfect.

Proud to say that I'm a regular here and so so glad to support this business and community. A homey, family run diner, this is the best place for weekend breakfasts. I always get the breakfast burritos (5/5), and they hit the spot every time. Great size, I usually get mine with cheddar and bacon, ask for the red potatoes with onions and bell peppers (5/5) on the outside. The salsa is amazing, adds that perfect mild flavor on the burrito without being too spicy. I could eat the potatoes all day. There's an option to have them inside the burrito, but I like them better as a side. When you walk in, you order at the counter and given a number, food is always out quickly and timely, in 10-15 min. Staff is always warm, friendly, and attentive to your needs. A cornerstone restaurant in the community, I'll continue to support Dino's.

Wonderful American diner food. Enjoyed their monte cristo. Country potatoes and potato salad were yummy sides. The restaurant was busy on a weekend. Ambiance: simple interior and great customer service.

LAST OF THE SEVENTIES-STYLE DINERS If I hadn't moved from Union City to Fremont prior to fourth grade I would've gone to a different high school. If I had attended American High School I probably would've gone to Dino's more often. I've eaten once at Dino's Family Restaurant almost 20 years ago. When I heard the news Dino's will be closing for good after December 31, I had to come to at a place that had been opened since 1977. I drove by Dino's on Thursday before New Year's but noticed the long line. I went the following day with the line was still long however I decided to stay. The thing unique about the service is you place an order prior to your seating, which I decided to sit at the counter. I ordered the Dino's Sweet Special that consisted either of pancake or waffles; I decided waffles. I also requested a side order of linguica. The last time I had waffles at a cafe I didn't enjoy them as the batter was too dry. Initially when I took a bite of the waffles the batter was dry. However spreading syrup and butter not only added moisture but also flavor. The linguiça had that snap on the casing however I noticed the person next to me had 5 thick, strips of bacon. Even though I liked the linguiça I preferred the bacon. I ended up liking the waffles I ordered, but the same guy who ordered the bacon ordered the Chuy's Homemade Biscuits and Gravy. I thought to myself if I come again I will order that dish. That is what happened. I came back to Dino's the following day on Saturday the day before New Year's Eve. To the customers' surprise there was a sign at the front of the ordering line that Dino's would not be closing after all. With all the restaurants closing in 2023 hearing a news of a restaurant that was going to close will remain open is a great way to end a year and start a new year. I ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy with country sausages. At another cafe when I ordered country fried steak the gravy was served cold. At Dino's the homemade gravy was served hot. Also the gravy wasn't heavy nor lumpy. Eating the country sausages made the gravy flavorful. I also ordered the 5 strips of bacon. Eating breakfast while knowing that Dino's will remain open made the meal enjoyable. For the third straight day I came back to Dino's on New Year's Eve. This time I didn't order breakfast but lunch. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and a side order of deep-fried mozzarella sticks. The reason I choose the cheese steak sandwich was because on the menu it stated the meat was choice prime rib. In the past I felt the meat on the cheese steak sandwich to be dry. The use of the choice prime rib makes the meat moist due to the fat. Even though the cheese steak sandwich looked heavy it wasn't. I also liked the bread was slightly toasted. I'll admit I wasn't too fond of the mozzarella sticks as I felt the mozzarella wasn't elastic enough. I'm glad I ended the year eating at Dino's with the news initially it would close for good then the news it would remain open. Maybe this would give hope to other places that might close in 2024 but may end up remaining in business.

I came here this afternoon for my FIRST time and found out they were supposed to close but actually are NOT. And thank god for that too since I had the best experience there! I ordered the breakfast special with French toast, sausage links, over easy eggs and red potatoes. Everything was delicious! They actually brought out scrambled eggs first by mistake and when I told them I ordered over medium they fixed it in less than a minute (they were a little more easy than medium but still delicious). Fastest turnaround, EVER. The French toast was my favorite and the best I've had in a very long time! The potato's with the onions and bell peppers were cooked perfectly and the sausage and eggs went great together! I also had the cookies and cream latte which was delicious but heavy as you can imagine! I'm literally still working on it, I took it to go and it's SO SO GOOD. On top of the food being fantastic, so was the service! Victor brought out my food and made sure I had everything I needed. One of the ladies brought me my latte too. It's definitely a team/ family effort here and it shows. I love that! A woman that had been coming here since she was little recommended the French toast and cookies and cream latte and she came over to me later to ask how I liked it and I thought that was so nice! I came by myself and I felt like I was with friends there. Not a feeling you're going to get just anywhere. They give you your bill once you have all your food and you pay at the cashier which is right in the middle of the restaurant so it's super easy when you're ready to go. As I was paying, Victor came out and gave me a bowl of soup on the house to try, loaded with bread and butter and everything! That made my day. Thank you Victor! I'm so glad this restaurant isn't closing, I will 1000% coming back with friends and family! Thank you all for the great experience if you read this!

Dino's has long been a Fremont institute as a family diner and one of the OG brunch places in the area. Known for delivering an authentic family diner experience and serving hearty food, it's been no wonder why they've been around for so long. Unfortunately, they will be shutting down on December 31st, so I had to give it one last go before they did. Let's take one last trip down memory lane. EDIT: Looks like they are no longer closing! Great news! FOOD Dino's delivers the traditional diner experience which means large portions of delicious food to keep you happy. They used to offer dinner, but they rolled it back a few years ago, so this is more of a breakfast and lunch place now. We ordered a lot of food: the Monte Cristo sandwich, a breakfast burrito, a breakfast plate, and a side of pancakes. Each of the entrees came with a side of potatoes, and we always got hash browns. The Monte Cristo is one of their most popular dishes here. It's packed with a bunch of meat inside some French toast. They also have maple syrup on the side if you want to add some additional sweetness to the sandwich. The Monte Cristo was great; if you are in the mood for a breakfast sandwich, this is what you are looking for. The breakfast burrito was huge. I think the tortilla could've been toasted longer, but that's a personal preference. Lots of food inside here and there's a side of jalapenos if you want a stronger kick to it. Breakfast plate and the pancakes are what you expect for a diner. Delicious and big portions, nothing to complain about. The hash browns that they serve here are also delicious. SERVICE They used to be a sit down restaurant, but now you order at the counter. The server will give you a number and then you find an open table and sit down. The servers will then bring your food when it is ready. When you are done, you pay at the cashier. They don't have menus at the counter, so check the menu by the entrance before you order. No issues with the service. COST Prices are reasonable and are about what you expect for a diner. The portions are large enough that you can box it to go and have it for a snack or another meal later in the day. I paid about $60 for all this food for 4 people, so it's a pretty good deal. SETTING Lots of people here for the last week, so I recommend arriving early if you can or later in the day. Interior looks like a standard traditional diner; there's an area closer to the street that you can sit down on and looks out at the street. This place is great for a casual brunch or just hanging out with friends. Clientele here are usually younger folks or older folks. Parking lot is bigger than it seems from the street, so you shouldn't have any issue for parking. Overall, I'm sad to see this Fremont business close down; I'm sure anyone who has been in Fremont has driven by Dino's many times. Make sure to stop by for one last visit; it's exactly what you expect out of a traditional family diner. If you miss Dino's, I highly recommend checking out Skilletz for breakfast/lunch and Billy Roy's for dinner since they are run by the same owner. Hopefully, something worthy takes up this restaurant; I'll keep my eyes peeled. (Rumor has it the owner is going to open a brand new business here). 4/5

Another Tri-City institution closing up. Decided to try this place out even though I've driven by the place frequently. Boy have a missed out. This is a classic diner. Just the 2 days I've gone, the employees were great. Very friendly. First day I came I got the breakfast special of the day and a large strawberry oreo milkshake. Portions come in pretty big so that large milkshake was really and XL but I'm not complaining. The French toast was good. The following day I came again because a friend wanted to try the place out. Decided to get the lumberjack burrito and another milkshake but this time a small. The burrito was good. Service was fast. You order at the window then find a table or sit at the counter. This place will be missed. Mom and pop restaurants are closing down so hopefully Fremont can fill the void.

Get here before they close permanently at the end of the year. Did you know they have been here for over 45 years? No frills diner, good sized portions that only the locals know about. Triple D worthy.
